The first World Drone Soccer Championship closed with China taking first and second place.

The 2025 World Drone Football Championship was held at the Shanghai Sports Center from November 15th to 18th. After four days of exciting competition, the Chinese team successfully swept the championship and runner-up in both the F9A-A and F9A-B categories. As a class A event organized by the International Aerospace Federation, the first World Drone Football Championship attracted top teams from 18 countries and regions across four continents, with young pilots accounting for as much as 71.6% of the participants.
