On November 19th, the Shanghai Municipal Government Information Office held the fourteenth press conference of the series "Putting Results into Action and Passing on a New Blueprint" for the achievements of the "14th Five-Year Plan" in Shanghai, introducing the construction and development results of Chongming District during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period. Hu Liuqiang, Deputy District Mayor of Chongming District, stated that the construction of Shanghai Rail Transit Line 22, namely the Chongming Line, and the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu high-speed railway are underway, and these two lines are currently being constructed with full force. The Chongming Line is expected to start trial operation at the end of 2026. At that time, it will take about 30 minutes to travel from Chongming Dongtan to Pudong Jinqiao by subway. If transferring via subway, one can reach People's Square in the city center in about 1 hour.
