"Shaanxi-Gansu Electricity Transmission Project in Anhui Section Fully Completed"
The journalist learned from the State Grid that one of the important projects of "transmitting electricity from west to east" in China, the Anhui section of the Shaanxi to Anhui UHVDC transmission project, was fully connected yesterday. At the construction site in Liuan City, Anhui Province, six transmission lines moved steadily towards the tower position at a height of 90 meters. With all the transmission lines smoothly reaching their designated positions, the Anhui section of the "Shaanxi to Anhui" project has achieved full connection. Chen Jianhua, project manager of State Grid Anhui Electric Power Construction Company, said that the Anhui section of the Shaanxi to Anhui UHVDC transmission project is 323 kilometers long in Anhui, with a total of 672 tower bases. After the full connection of the Anhui section project, the overall progress of the entire "Shaanxi to Anhui" transmission line project has exceeded 80%. The "Shaanxi to Anhui" project is an important cross-provincial and cross-regional transmission channel in the national "14th Five-Year Plan", with a total length of 1055 kilometers, starting from Yan'an, Shaanxi, and ending in Hefei, Anhui, with a total investment of 20.5 billion yuan. It is expected to be fully operational by the end of June next year. After being put into operation, it can transmit over 36 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity to Anhui annually, with over half of it being from renewable energy sources.
