The second comprehensive application release conference of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau scientific expedition results will be held in Lhasa today.

The Second Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Scientific Expedition comprehensive application release conference will be held in Lhasa on November 19-20, 2025. The leader of the Second Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Scientific Expedition team, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Yao Tandong, will announce the top ten application achievements of the second expedition on site. In the afternoon of the 19th and the morning of the 20th, experts from the expedition team will also release representative achievements in key areas such as the changes and impacts of the Asian water tower, climate change and carbon cycle, biodiversity and ecological barrier construction, human health and green development on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, environmental effects of the uplift of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, strategic resources and energy, etc. These achievements collectively support the construction of the landmark scientific project of the Second Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Scientific Expedition.
