Geely and Renault will invest over 700 million dollars in Brazil to collaborate on developing new car models.
Brazil's Vice President, Hamilton Mouro, posted on social media on November 18th that Renault and Geely have announced a partnership in Brazil. They will be investing 3.8 billion Brazilian reals in the state of Paran to create "safe, efficient, and affordable new car models." According to the companies' statement, some of the funds will be used for Geely's new zero-emission and low-emission platform, laying the foundation for two new cars to be produced from the second half of 2026. The remaining funds will be used to update one of Renault's existing models next year, and to launch a new model in 2027.
