The Ministry of Natural Resources has released the "Management Measures for Satellite Navigation Positioning Reference Stations."

The Ministry of Natural Resources announced today the "Management Measures for Satellite Navigation Positioning Reference Stations", starting from January 1st next year, the construction and operation and maintenance of the national satellite navigation positioning reference stations will be uniformly regulated. The "Measures" stipulate the principles, contents, and procedures for the filing of reference stations, and considering the regional coverage characteristics of reference station construction, if constructing multiple reference stations across provinces, a filing must be made to the Ministry of Natural Resources. At the same time, the "Measures" also specify the authority of surveying and mapping reference services, and all types of surveying and mapping activities should use the national unified surveying and mapping reference services. Additionally, the "Measures" emphasize the need to improve the data security protection and application level of reference stations, and clarify that construction units, operation and maintenance units, and units using data should all legally assume corresponding data security confidentiality responsibilities.
