DJI invites hundreds of investment institutions to conduct closed-door research on the new panoramic drone product, without mentioning financing or going public.
Drone manufacturer DJI Innovations recently invited several investment institutions to conduct closed-door research on their upcoming panoramic drone, the DJI Avata 360. DJI clearly stated during the event that they have no financing needs or plans to go public. Participating investment institutions were able to test-fly the new product and listen to presentations comparing the product, industry competition, and market perspectives. The panoramic drone released by DJI is seen as a "defensive move" to address market competition. Currently, DJI holds absolute dominance in the global consumer drone market, but market growth momentum is weakening. DJI is also trying to find new growth points through diversification, including entering fields such as panoramic cameras, robotic vacuum cleaners, and 3D printing.
