During the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference, the domestic leading lithium battery company CATL and the International Renewable Energy Agency released a report titled "Photovoltaics and Energy Storage Boost Energy Transition." The report clearly points out that "photovoltaics + energy storage" has become the most economical green energy combination, surpassing the economic viability of "coal + CCUS." During the period of 2010-2023, the cost of lithium battery energy storage has decreased significantly by 89%, which is key to driving its economic viability. The report recommends that countries set national energy storage installation targets and include energy storage in the top-level design and planning of the grid to effectively promote the coordinated development of renewable energy and energy storage.
