JBB BUILDERS (01903) plans to establish a joint venture company to undertake the construction of a large-scale 99.99MWac solar photovoltaic power plant in Johor, Malaysia.

(a wholly-owned subsidiary) and their joint venture partner (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Samaiden Group Berhad, a company listed on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (stock code: 0223)) formed a consortium and received a notification letter from the Malaysian Energy Commission in September 2025. The letter informed the consortium that they have been selected as shortlisted bidders to undertake the project, which is to develop a large 99.99MWac solar photovoltaic power plant in Segamat, Johor, Malaysia. The planned commercial operation date of the plant is on or before February 29, 2028. The joint venture company will enter into a 21-year solar power purchase agreement with Tenaga Nasional Berhad to supply the solar power generated by the plant. On November 18, 2025 (after trading hours on the exchange), JBB Builders (M) Sdn. Bhd. and their joint venture partner signed an agreement to establish a joint venture to implement the project.
