Azerbaijani official says the number of Chinese tourists visiting Azerbaijan has significantly increased in the first 10 months of this year.

Najiyev, the head of the Azerbaijan National Tourism Agency, said on the 17th that the number of Chinese tourists visiting Azerbaijan in the first 10 months of this year reached 57,000, an increase of 49% compared to the same period last year. Speaking at a dialogue between Azerbaijani and Chinese tourism enterprises hosted by the Azerbaijan National Tourism Agency that day, Najiyev said that in terms of the number of foreign tourists arriving in Azerbaijan, China is among the top 10 countries and regions. He said that in recent years, tourism cooperation between Azerbaijan and China has flourished, with direct flights opened between Baku and Beijing, Urumqi, and the visa exemption agreement signed by the two countries in April this year is the best evidence of this.
