AkzoNobel and Axalta will merge, giving birth to a $25 billion paint giant.

AkzoNobel announced on Tuesday that it plans to merge with Ashland Coatings Systems, and the combined company will have an enterprise value of $25 billion. The merger is expected to be completed by the end of 2026 or the beginning of 2027. The merged company will first be listed in Amsterdam and New York, and then listed solely on the New York Stock Exchange.
