Another megacity with a population of tens of millions is coming.

The 19th city with a population of over ten million is not far away. Recently, the "Population Development Plan of Foshan City" was released, proposing to reach a population of 10.16 million by 2030. Last year, the permanent population of Foshan reached 9.69 million, just one step away from the ten million mark. In the coming years, as long as an annual increase of around 50,000 is achieved, reaching ten million is not beyond reach. Once Foshan breaks through, it will become the 4th city in Guangdong and the 19th city in the country with a population of over ten million; it will also become the 17th city in the country with a GDP exceeding one trillion and a population of over ten million. Prior to this, Guangdong province already had three cities with a population of over ten million: Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Dongguan. Among them, the permanent population of Guangzhou and Shenzhen is approaching 20 million, while the real-time population is as high as 24 million.
