The construction project of flood control zone adjustment and construction in the lower reaches of the main stream of the Huai River in Fu Shan has started.

Another strategic flood control project in the Huaihe River Basin, the adjustment and construction project of the flood control area below Fushan in the main stream of the Huaihe River, started yesterday in Chuzhou, Anhui. This project is a key project specified in the comprehensive planning and flood control planning of the Huaihe River Basin approved by the State Council, and is also one of the 150 major water conservancy projects promoted by the country. The project spans three cities and counties in Jiangsu and Anhui provinces, located in the middle reaches of the main stream of the Huaihe River. It mainly involves dredging the river channel, opening the Fengtieying diversion canal, constructing and strengthening embankments, and implementing Lihe River regulation to comprehensively improve the flood control capacity of this river section. The estimated total investment of the project is 6.939 billion yuan, with a construction period of 36 months.
