Extreme weather in Portugal has already caused the death of 3 people.
According to a statement from the Portuguese National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority on November 17th local time, from 2pm on November 12th to 11am on the 17th, a total of 4017 accidents related to extreme weather caused by the storm "Claudia" were recorded in mainland Portugal, with most accidents caused by flooding caused by heavy rains. This round of severe weather has resulted in 3 deaths in Portugal, with dozens more injured or displaced in accidents related to extreme weather. The civil protection department advises citizens to take preventive measures during extreme weather and to avoid activities in potentially dangerous areas such as coastal areas.
