In the early hours of the 17th, gunmen attacked a public girls' secondary school in Kebbi State in northwest Nigeria. At least 25 students were kidnapped, one school staff member was killed, and another staff member was injured. According to information released by the Kebbi State Police, the incident occurred at the Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School in the Danko-Wasagu area of Kebbi State. A group of armed gunmen scaled the school wall and entered the campus, kidnapping at least 25 boarding students and taking them to an unknown location. Local authorities said that the number of missing students could increase, and government troops are conducting a search and rescue operation.
