On November 17, 2025, Chinese Vice Premier and Minister of Finance He Lifeng and German Vice Chancellor and Minister of Finance Olaf Scholz jointly chaired the fourth Sino-German High-Level Financial Dialogue in Beijing. Senior officials from both sides attended the dialogue. Both sides reiterated that this dialogue mechanism is an important platform for China and Germany to engage in bilateral communication and policy coordination on strategic, comprehensive, and long-term financial issues. Both sides are committed to strengthening macroeconomic policy coordination through various bilateral and multilateral channels, jointly promoting global economic recovery and sustainable development, and enhancing global financial stability. Both sides agreed to enhance cooperation in the financial sector and expand two-way market opening on the basis of fair competition. Both sides are committed to jointly improving international economic governance, supporting a rules-based, fair, open, transparent, inclusive, sustainable, non-discriminatory multilateral trading system with the World Trade Organization at its core.
