The US army is ready to take action against Venezuela at any time.
U.S. Army Secretary Driscoll stated in a program broadcasted on November 16 by CBS that the army will be ready to take action at the request of the President and the Secretary of Defense. Driscoll also mentioned that the U.S. Army has conducted extensive training in the region and has reopened the Jungle Warfare Training School in Panama. Regardless of what action the President requests, the army is ready at all times. Recently, U.S. President Trump has repeatedly threatened to launch ground strikes against Venezuela and authorized the CIA to carry out secret operations in Venezuela. The U.S. military deployment in the Caribbean region has reached its largest scale in over 30 years. There are reports that Trump has made a decision on potential military actions against targets within Venezuela. However, on the evening of November 16 local time, Trump told the media, "I may talk to Venezuelan President Maduro to see how things develop," and stated that Venezuela "also wants to talk."
