Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, a staunch supporter of President Trump's "Make America Great Again" (MAGA) movement, has recently fallen out with him. After days of verbal attacks from Trump, she took to social media on the 15th to condemn his "incitement and instigation," which led to her facing personal threats. Greene is one of the few Republican lawmakers who openly support the release of files related to the Jeffrey Epstein case. During his 2024 presidential campaign, Trump promised to release the Epstein case documents once in office. However, when the first batch of documents was released at the end of February this year, there was no explosive new information. According to the Associated Press, tensions between Greene and Trump have been simmering for some time now: after Trump took office, Greene expressed interest in running for a Senate seat in the 2026 midterm elections, but Trump said she had "no chance of winning"; Trump's order to strike an Iranian nuclear facility in June sparked discontent from the MAGA camp, which Greene also criticized; Greene also blamed the Trump administration for not effectively dealing with high domestic prices.
