Boeing hopes to maintain a good relationship with buyers regarding the delay issue of the 777X.
A senior executive at Boeing Company stated that Boeing plans to pave the way for certification of its long-delayed 777X mini jumbo project at this week's Dubai Airshow by engaging with airlines, rather than maximizing new orders through the airshow. Boeing announced a new delay in October and set aside $4.9 billion in costs for its largest twin-engine aircraft, pushing the delivery timeline to 2027, seven years later than originally planned.
