The senior executives responsible for jet aircraft manufacturing at Boeing said on Sunday that before moving on to the next phase of production milestones, Boeing plans to first stabilize aircraft production at the current level while implementing safety and quality improvement measures. Boeing Commercial Airplanes CEO Stephanie Pope told reporters that it is too early to talk about when Boeing will increase the monthly production of the 737 series aircraft to 47. Previously, regulators lifted temporary production restrictions, allowing Boeing to increase the monthly production of this aircraft model to 42, a permit that was recently approved. "It is more important to steadily improve at a reasonable pace than to pursue speed," Pope said at a press conference on the eve of the Dubai Airshow.
