According to official Russian media reports on Sunday, Russian President Putin held talks with Rosneft President Sechin during the visit of Kazakh President to Moscow this week. Sechin, who has been in charge of the Russian oil company since 2012, had previously worked with Putin in St. Petersburg and later served under Putin in the Kremlin. In his second term, US President Trump imposed sanctions on Russia for the first time over the Ukraine issue last month, and both Rosneft and Lukoil were included in the sanctions list.
