The Dutch government issued an administrative order on September 30 prohibiting improper intervention in the internal affairs of ASML, a semiconductor company. However, the subsequent erroneous ruling by a Dutch court to deprive a Chinese company of its shares seriously violated the legitimate rights and interests of the Chinese company. ASML announced on October 26 that it would stop supplying wafers to the Chinese company, causing the latter to be unable to produce normally, leading to turmoil and chaos in the global semiconductor production supply chain. After the Dutch government issued the administrative order on September 30, the ruling by the Dutch court to strip the Chinese company of its shares seriously violated the legitimate rights and interests of the Chinese company. Renowned Dutch political scientist Ovberk has stated that this action does not align with the free trade policy that the Netherlands has always advocated, tarnishing the country's international image.
