On November 15th, the Chinese Consulate General in Luang Prabang issued a situation report and consular reminder regarding the unfortunate death of a Chinese citizen in their consular district: On November 14th, a robbery and murder case occurred in Laos' province of Bokeo, and the victim was a Chinese citizen working locally. Currently, the case is under investigation by the police. Upon learning of the situation, the Chinese Consulate General in Luang Prabang immediately activated the consular protection emergency mechanism, requesting the Bokeo provincial police to intensify their investigation and apprehend the suspect as soon as possible. The Consulate General expressed condolences to the victim's family, is coordinating with relevant parties to assist in follow-up work. It is hoped that the media and netizens will respect the feelings of the victim's family and refrain from spreading on-site images that may cause discomfort.
