The Shenzhou-20 spacecraft crew safely arrived in Beijing last night, and returned to the astronaut brigade apartment in the Beijing Aerospace City early this morning. At the same time, the space station medical experiment samples carried by the Shenzhou-21 spacecraft have also arrived in Beijing and been delivered to the China Astronaut Research and Training Center. This handover includes the space medical experiment samples from the Shenzhou-20 and Tianzhou-9 missions, with a total weight of 3.2 kilograms, including blood, urine, feces, saliva, throat swabs, microorganisms, and cells, totaling 199 samples from 7 categories. These samples will support the research implementation of 19 space station medical experiment projects. The 19 research units participating in the experiment will systematically analyze and interpret the occurrence, regulation, and mechanism of bodily function activities in a weightless state at multiple levels such as molecules, cells, and organs, focusing on issues such as the interactive regulation of bone metabolism in the human body under space environment, the evolution of core microflora, maintenance of brain homeostasis, the effect of biological rhythms and sleep.
