Insiders: Lidar manufacturer Hesai has secured cooperation with Xiaomi and Ideal for all models next year.

Lidar company Hesai Technology has already secured designated cooperation for all models of the two largest ADAS customers in 2026, and has achieved 100% standardization of lidar. According to insiders, these two major customers are Xiaomi and Nio. It was revealed that Xiaomi is not only a business partner of Hesai, but also an important shareholder. The former led the Hesai Technology Series D financing round in 2021 with an amount of $374 million. As for Nio, the two have also been cooperating for several years, with Hesai Technology reaching a cooperation agreement with Nio in July 2021 based on automotive-grade solid-state lidar technology. Recently, Hesai also claimed to have secured exclusive designated cooperation for all models of Nio's new generation of driver assistance platform.
