The State Administration for Market Regulation has approved the release of two important metrological technical specifications, "General Requirements for Software Identification of Measuring Instruments" and "Requirements for Data Transmission of Measuring Instruments", providing key technical basis for the standardized management and safe application of software and data for measuring instruments in China. The software identification of measuring instruments, as the core digital identity credential in the entire life cycle of metrological software, is the primary issue that needs to be addressed in the digital transformation of metrology. "General Requirements for Software Identification of Measuring Instruments" will promote the standardized management of metrological software in China, enabling metrology professionals and law enforcement personnel to quickly identify key information such as software type, category of the measuring instrument it belongs to, and version, in order to protect public interests, promote the digital transformation of metrology, and provide support for legal and regulated supervision. Metrological data is the core output of metrological instruments, and its trustworthy circulation and sharing are key to unlocking the digital value of metrology. "Requirements for Data Transmission of Measuring Instruments" specifies the basic requirements for the security, integrity, and consistency of metrological data during network transmission, aiming to safeguard the authenticity and trustworthiness of data and promote interconnection and interoperability from the source, in order to facilitate the digital and intelligent transformation of metrology, contribute to the construction of a unified national market, and serve the high-quality development of the economy and society.
