North Korea condemns the G7 countries' statement regarding denuclearization in North Korea.
According to a report by the Korean Central News Agency on the 14th, North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Son Gwon issued a statement on the 13th condemning the recent joint statement on "complete denuclearization" by the G7 foreign ministers in Canada, calling it a "disregard and violation" of the North Korean constitution. The statement said that North Korea's current position will not change because of external rhetorical assertions, "Having nuclear weapons is the most correct choice to restrain the most dangerous hostile countries in today's harsh geopolitical environment." The substantial nuclear threat to world peace and security comes from the G7. The G7 has no right to dictate how sovereign countries should maintain their own security. The statement said that as long as external nuclear threats are not eliminated, as long as there are forces seeking absolute hegemony by using nuclear weapons as a means of dominance, North Korea will continue to abide by its constitution of making nuclear weapons permanent to ensure the present and future of the country and its people, and achieve international justice.
