Western Union Money Transfer and Tencent TenPay Global have reached a strategic cooperation, the first "smart store" landing in Singapore.
Interface News reporters recently learned that Western Union and Tencent's cross-border payment platform TenPay Global have announced a strategic partnership. By combining Western Union's offline retail network with TenPay Global's cross-border payment technology capabilities, the two parties aim to improve the offline digital cross-border remittance experience. It is understood that the two parties are working together to create "smart stores" to enhance the efficiency of offline remittances. Users can pre-enter remittance information through WeChat Mini Program, confirm it, and then choose to use cash or supported digital payment methods at the counter to complete the transaction, thereby simplifying the complicated handwritten form filling process in traditional remittances. The first smart store is located in Chinatown in Singapore and is one of the 20 branch offices set up by Western Union in the area.
