Shandong issues blue cold wave alert and yellow sea gale warning.
The Shandong Meteorological Observatory issued a blue cold wave warning at 11:30 on November 14: It is expected that from the 16th to the 18th, a cold wave weather will occur in our province, with a significant drop in temperature. The minimum temperature in most parts of the province will decrease by about 10C, with some areas reaching 12C. The lowest temperature will occur on the morning of the 18th, -6 to -4C in the central mountainous areas of Shandong, 1 to 4C in coastal areas, and -4 to -2C in other areas. On the 16th and 17th, there will be a north wind, with winds weakening from 5-6 level gusts of 7-8 levels in Binzhou, Dongying, Weifang, Rizhao, the peninsula area and inland lakes, to 4-5 level gusts of 6-7 levels, and in other areas weakening from 4-5 level gusts of 7 levels to 3-4 levels. Additionally, there will be light rain and snow in the northern part of the peninsula on the 17th. At 11:30, a yellow warning for strong winds at sea was issued: Due to the influence of strong cold air, it is expected that from the early morning to the night of the 16th, there will be a north wind with 7-8 level gusts of 9-10 levels in the Bohai Sea, Bohai Strait, the northern and central Yellow Sea; and on the 17th during the day to night, a north wind with 7 level gusts of 8-9 levels in the Bohai Sea, Bohai Strait, the northern and central Yellow Sea.
