The Inner Mongolia procuratorate has lawfully prosecuted Kou Wei on charges of embezzlement, abuse of power by a state-owned company employee, bribery, and bribery by leveraging influence.

Former Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of China Datang Group Co., Ltd., Kou Wei, is suspected of embezzlement, abuse of power by state-owned company personnel, bribery, and accepting bribes through the use of influence. The case was investigated and concluded by the National Supervisory Commission, and then transferred to the procuratorate for examination and prosecution. The Supreme People's Procuratorate issued an arrest warrant against Kou Wei on charges of embezzlement, abuse of power by state-owned company personnel, bribery, and accepting bribes through the use of influence, and designated the Xing'an League Branch of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region People's Procuratorate to examine and prosecute the case. Recently, the Xing'an League Branch of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region People's Procuratorate has filed a public prosecution with the Xing'an League Intermediate People's Court of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. During the examination and prosecution stage, the procuratorial organs informed the defendant Kou Wei of his litigation rights, interrogated the defendant, and listened to the opinions of the defense counsel. The procuratorial organs accuse Kou Wei of embezzling public funds on a massive scale through his positions as Secretary of the Party Committee, General Manager, and Chairman of Yunnan Lancang River Hydropower Development Co., Ltd.; abusing his power as a state-owned company employee, causing significant losses to national interests; and using his positions and power for personal gain while holding various leadership positions in different companies. Kou Wei's actions, including accepting bribes and seeking illicit benefits for others, amount to a significant criminal offense and he should be held accountable for charges including embezzlement, abuse of power by state-owned company personnel, bribery, and accepting bribes through the use of influence.
