Recently, some online accounts have been using AI technology to impersonate public figures and promote marketing information through live streaming, short videos, and other channels, misleading netizens and violating laws regarding false advertising and online infringement. This behavior seriously damages the online ecosystem and has a negative impact. The internet department has taken strict measures against a group of illegal online accounts such as "Department Store Small Shop", "Nana Good Product Alliance", and "Global Skincare and Makeup Selection". At the same time, they have urged website platforms to release governance announcements, take comprehensive measures, and conduct a concentrated cleanup. So far, they have cleared over 8700 pieces of related illegal information and disposed of over 11,000 fake public figure accounts. In the next step, the internet department will continue to strengthen the responsibility of website platforms, maintain high pressure and strict control over the issue of using AI to impersonate public figures for live marketing, handle malicious marketing accounts as they are discovered, and protect a healthy online ecosystem.
