According to Reuters, Dutch Minister of Economy Carremans stated on the 13th local time that a Dutch government delegation will travel to China "early next week" to seek a solution to the issue regarding the Chinese company Nexperia, a subsidiary of NXP Semiconductors. China had previously agreed to the request for the Dutch Ministry of Economy to send representatives for discussions. Carremans said in a statement that the Dutch Ministry of Economy "will send a high-level official delegation to Beijing to continue efforts to find a solution that both parties can accept." On October 12th, the Dutch government intervened in the Chinese company's Nexperia's subsidiary, ASML Semiconductor, alleging that it posed a risk to the economic security of the Netherlands and Europe. Nexperia issued a statement on the 13th, saying that the Dutch government's global business freeze on ASML Semiconductor, based on unsubstantiated claims of "national security," was excessive intervention driven by geopolitical bias and not based on a risk assessment. The company has initiated legal and diplomatic actions to demand the Dutch government immediately revoke the erroneous instructions, stop the systematic discrimination against Chinese companies, and uphold the openness and cooperation of the global semiconductor industry supply chain.
