Roughly eighty percent of analysts predict that the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates in December.

The latest survey results released by Reuters on November 12th showed that 80% of economic analysts expect the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates by another 25 basis points in December, a slight increase from the previous month. Out of the 105 analysts surveyed, 84 predict that the Federal Open Market Committee will cut rates by 25 basis points for the third consecutive time in December, bringing the federal funds rate to a range of 3.50% to 3.75%; the remaining 21 expect no change in rates.
