Securities firms' issuance of bonds within the year increased by over 62% year-on-year.
According to data from iFinD of Flush, as of November 12 this year, securities firms have issued a total of 1.6 trillion yuan in bonds, a year-on-year increase of 62.34%. Chen Yinhua, director of the Western Financial Research Institute, told reporters: "This year, the scale of securities firms' bond issuance has significantly increased year-on-year, driven by multiple factors. Firstly, the current market liquidity is abundant and interest rates are low. In this situation, the financing cost of issuing bonds is low, so securities firms are more inclined to use bond issuance to replace high-cost existing debt and to supplement working capital. Secondly, the launch of the "technology board" in the bond market directly promotes the growth of securities firms' bond issuance scale. Thirdly, the trend of the capital market has been positive this year, and securities firms need to strengthen their capital strength to support business development. It is expected that with the continuous deepening of capital market reform and the further expansion of securities firms' capital-intensive businesses, securities firms' bond issuance activities will remain active."
