On the evening of the 12th, He Lifeng, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, met with Evan Greenberg, Executive Vice Chairman of the Board of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, and President Orinso in Beijing. He Lifeng stated that China and the United States have broad cooperation space in the field of economy and trade, and the two sides should work towards each other, jointly maintain and implement the important consensus and results of the meeting between the leaders of the two countries in Busan, strengthen cooperation and control differences, and promote the stable development of China-U.S. economic and trade relations. He hoped that the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations would make new contributions to promoting friendly cooperation between China and the United States. He Lifeng also introduced the relevant situation of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. The U.S. side stated that it is very important to maintain the stability of U.S.-China relations and is willing to play a good role as a bridge to promote the deepening of U.S.-China exchanges and cooperation.
