Ford CEO admitted feeling inferior after examining Tesla and Chinese electric vehicles, saying, "what we discovered was shocking."
According to reports from the US "Business Insider" website, "Fortune" magazine, and other media outlets, Ford Motor Company CEO Jim Farley recently expressed shock during an interview. He stated that after dismantling electric vehicles from the American brand Tesla and Chinese electric car companies, he was shocked to realize that Tesla and Chinese electric car startups are far ahead. This "shocking" realization has prompted him to undergo a comprehensive reform of Ford Motor Company. The "Business Insider" website mentioned that dismantling competitors' products is a common practice in the automotive industry. Farley said in an interview scheduled to air on the 12th that Ford Mustang Mach-E's wiring is about 1.6 kilometers longer than Tesla's, which not only increases the vehicle's weight but also requires larger and more expensive batteries as a result. Farley stated that these dismantling processes convinced him that Ford must undergo transformation in order to compete with new rivals.
