Mahmoud Abdulhadi, Vice Minister of the Saudi Ministry of Tourism, recently stated that Saudi Arabia is committed to developing the tourism industry as the country's second largest economic pillar, aiming to create more job opportunities and achieve sustainable economic development. China is an important partner for Saudi Arabia in the development of the tourism industry. The 26th session of the United Nations World Tourism Organization General Assembly will be held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, from the 7th to the 11th. Abdulhadi stated in an interview before the closure of the meeting that the primary goal of developing the tourism industry in Saudi Arabia is to create jobs, especially in cities and towns outside of major cities such as Riyadh, in order to provide young people with employment opportunities, as this in itself is a reflection of economic sustainability.
