On November 12, 2025, the World Power Battery Conference opened in Yibin, Sichuan Province. Zhang Jinhua, Chairman of the China Society of Automotive Engineers and Executive Director of the National Intelligent Connected Vehicle Innovation Center, stated that solid-state batteries will achieve technological breakthroughs and demonstrate industrial applications. With its intrinsic safety and ultra-high energy density characteristics, solid-state batteries have become a focus area for global layout, currently at a critical stage of breakthroughs in basic scientific issues and technological challenges in industrialization. With major breakthroughs in key technologies such as interface control, it is expected to promote the realization of external pressure-free solid-state batteries. It is estimated that by around 2030, solid-state batteries will complete pilot validation and begin small-scale vehicle applications.
