On November 12, 2025, the World Power Battery Conference opened in Yibin, Sichuan. Zhang Jinhua, Chairman of the Chinese Society of Automotive Engineers and Executive Director of the National Intelligent Connected Vehicle Innovation Center, stated that solid-state hybrid batteries will quickly move from small-scale applications to marketization. Solid-state hybrid batteries, with their high security and high energy density potential, have become an important technological route for the evolution of power battery technology. Currently, the addition of inorganic electrolytes and the partial polymerization of electrolytes are the two main technical directions, but there are still challenges such as interface impedance, cost, and manufacturing processes. By 2030, the energy density of solid-state hybrid batteries will exceed 450Wh/kg, fully meeting the high-performance requirements of vehicle regulations and entering the stage of large-scale commercial applications.
