Silicon Industry Branch: Polysilicon market sentiment fluctuates this week, weak stability trend continues.
According to the news from the Silicon Branch of the Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, the transaction price range of n-type recycled polysilicon this week is between 49,000-55,000 yuan/ton, with an average transaction price of 53,200 yuan/ton, holding steady compared to the previous week. The transaction price range of n-type granular silicon is between 50,000-51,000 yuan/ton, with an average transaction price of 50,500 yuan/ton, holding steady compared to the previous week. The overall domestic polysilicon market has remained weak and stable this week. Despite fluctuations in market sentiment due to the continuous decline in downstream silicon wafer and battery prices, actual transaction prices have remained stable. The number of mainstream signing enterprises remains at around 6, and transaction activity is comparable to the previous week. The current stable prices are mainly supported by the continuous anticipation of upstream supply contraction, with some enterprises planning to reduce production and conduct maintenance, which is supporting market sentiment. On the other hand, it is generally believed within the industry that further price declines in the upstream sector may not stimulate demand in the face of declining downstream prices, and could instead accelerate the overall downward trend in the industry chain prices, triggering a chain reaction of negative effects. Therefore, despite weak downstream prices and shrinking demand expectations, polysilicon enterprises still tend to maintain stable pricing and have a low willingness to proactively lower prices.
