On November 12th, Liu Yiyang, the Executive Secretary of the China Photovoltaic Industry Association, posted on his social media, urging everyone not to believe in rumors. Liu Yiyang mentioned that the 18th issue of "Qiushi" magazine published on September 16th featured an important article by Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, President of the People's Republic of China, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, entitled "Advancing the Construction of a Unified National Market in Depth." The article clearly stated: "Better play the self-discipline role of industry associations, guide companies to improve product quality. Promote the orderly exit of backward production capacity." Liu Yiyang said, "We will remember the requirements of the General Secretary and strive to promote industry self-discipline and 'anti-internal competition' work under the strong guidance of relevant ministries. By jointly promoting from both supply and demand sides, we will push for the orderly exit of backward production capacity in a market-oriented and legalized manner. I believe that with the firm guidance and support from the central government, coordinated cooperation among industry enterprises, relevant work will definitely be successful, and the photovoltaic industry will not stop until it breaks away from the vicious competition of internal competition." At the same time, Liu Yiyang warned rumor-mongers not to underestimate policy determination, as fake news will not last long. Attempting to profit improperly through deception and rumor-mongering will eventually backfire. "Industry self-discipline and anti-internal competition are aimed at restoring the market to a fair competition environment. High-quality development of the photovoltaic industry aims to allow companies that keep their promises to develop better." Liu Yiyang believes that those companies that are not self-disciplined, and still try to profit from unfair competition without a bottom line, are making a wrong calculation and will eventually fail.
