Ningde Times Chairman Zeng Yuqun: The fifth generation of lithium iron phosphate batteries have begun mass production.

On November 12, 2025, the World Power Battery Conference opened in Yibin, Sichuan. Zeng Yuqun, Chairman of CATL, stated in his keynote speech that in terms of material and structural innovation, CATL has been continuously working on the currently mass-produced fourth-generation lithium iron phosphate batteries, leading the industry mainstream in terms of high energy density, long life, and high power compared to the second and third generation products. Zeng Yuqun also pointed out that, based on this foundation, CATL has recently begun mass production of their fifth-generation lithium iron phosphate battery products, achieving new breakthroughs in energy density and cycling life.
