Taiwan media reported that the DPP authorities hope to establish a "representative office" named "Taiwan" in the Estonian capital Tallinn based on the model of the "Taiwan Representative Office in Lithuania", but Estonia insists on naming it "Taipei". The spokesperson of the Taiwan Affairs Office stated that we strongly oppose any form of official exchanges or establishment of official institutions between the diplomatic countries and the Taiwan region of China. We hope that relevant countries will adhere to the One China principle and handle Taiwan-related issues prudently. The DPP authorities' attempts to make a fuss and manipulate the issue of Taiwan independence are becoming increasingly exposed by the international community and are destined to fail.
