Laos People's Revolutionary Party Central Secretary and President Bounnhang Vorachith meets with Li Shulei.

On November 11, Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and President of Laos, met with Li Shulei, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Minister of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, in Vientiane. Li Shulei conveyed warm greetings from General Secretary Xi Jinping to Thongloun. He said that under the strategic guidance of General Secretaries Xi and Thongloun, the development of China-Laos relations and the construction of a community of shared future have deepened and made significant progress, bringing tangible benefits to the two peoples. China is willing to work with Laos to implement important consensus reached by the two highest leaders, deepen party-to-party exchanges and cooperation, expand cooperation in fields such as economy, trade, media, culture, and tourism, and jointly build a high-standard, high-quality, and high-level China-Laos community of shared future. Thongloun asked Li Shulei to convey sincere greetings to General Secretary Xi Jinping and warmly congratulated the successful convening of the 4th Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, highly praising the great achievements of modernization under the leadership of the Communist Party of China and expressing Laos' willingness to strengthen theoretical and experiential exchanges in governance under the leadership of the CPC, deepen pragmatic cooperation in various fields, better benefit both countries and their peoples from the Laos-China Railway, and continuously advance bilateral relations. During his visit to Laos, Li Shulei met with Bounthong Chitmany, member of the Political Bureau of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee and Deputy Prime Minister, and held talks with Khamphanh Siphandone, member of the Secretariat of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee and Minister of the Publicity Department, extensively promoting the spirit of the 4th Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, and jointly attended the 13th theoretical seminar of the two parties with the theme "Using Mid- to Long-term Planning to Guide Economic and Social Development," where Li Shulei delivered the keynote speech.
