The Chinese Ministry of Commerce announced an export waiver for the semiconductor chips of Ahn Shi. Subsidiaries of the German Continental Group, such as Aumovio, a manufacturer of automotive components, have received Ahn Shi semiconductor chips from China. Aumovio executives have stated that the planned vacation shutdown measures may no longer be necessary. Honda's executive vice president, Hiwaru Kyu, also confirmed receiving a notice from China to begin shipping and is working to restore factory production. Beride, the head of Volkswagen's China division, revealed that the automotive industry has received the first batch of chips, and expressed concern over the Chinese Ministry of Commerce's swift response.
