Shanghai will promote the intelligent layout of the catering industry: promoting AI smart kitchens and introducing AI nutrition analysts

Recently, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce and five other departments jointly released the "Shanghai Action Plan for Promoting the Intelligent Layout of the Catering Industry", proposing to build a national leading and internationally first-class intelligent development highland for the catering industry by the end of 2028. In terms of promoting the improvement of dining services and management through intelligence, it will promote the intelligent application in key aspects such as customer service and operational management in dining enterprises. It encourages the development and application of AI nutrition meal advisors to provide personalized dish pairing suggestions based on customer's health data. It explores the use of AI for innovative dish design and digital analysis of flavors to assist chefs in developing new dishes. It promotes the "AI Transparent Kitchen" system to achieve 24-hour intelligent monitoring and early warning of environmental hygiene, personnel operation norms, foreign object invasion, etc., to enhance food safety control capability.
