The 11th meeting of the China-UK Joint Committee on Science and Innovation Cooperation was held in Beijing.

In order to implement the consensus of the leaders of China and the United Kingdom, strengthen the strategic alignment of development, promote practical cooperation and institutionalized exchanges between the two countries, on November 11, 2025, the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology and the UK Department for Science, Innovation and Technology jointly held the 11th meeting of the China-UK Science and Innovation Cooperation Joint Committee in Beijing. Both sides fully affirmed the achievements of China and the UK in science and technology innovation cooperation since the establishment of diplomatic relations, and expressed their determination to continue to promote the deepening of scientific and technological cooperation between the two countries. They specifically identified climate change and environment, planetary science and astronomy, health, agriculture and food research as key areas for future joint research. They agreed to use this meeting of the China-UK Science and Innovation Cooperation Joint Committee as a new starting point to jointly promote more fruitful results in China-UK scientific and technological innovation cooperation, and contribute China-UK wisdom and strength to addressing global challenges.
