China will accelerate the construction of manufacturing pilot platforms around six key areas.

Journalists learned from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology that recently China issued a notice on further accelerating the systematic layout and high-level construction of pilot manufacturing platforms. By 2027, the strength of high-level pilot platforms will further grow, and the modern pilot platform system will be basically established, forming a preliminary national manufacturing pilot service network with multiple entities participating, multi-sector layout, and multi-level services. The notice specifies the key issues of "what to build, who will build it, and how to build it" for pilot platforms. It guides local authorities to focus on the construction of pilot platforms urgently needed for industrial development in six key areas and 37 industries such as raw material industries, equipment manufacturing, consumer goods industries, information technology, emerging and future industries, and common needs. Up to now, China has focused on the construction of over 2,400 pilot platforms in key areas urgently needed by industries, selected the first batch of 241 pilot platforms key cultivated by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and these pilot platforms undertake a total of 25,000 pilot service projects, serving nearly 10,000 companies. They have completed over 1,100 pilot verification projects of autonomous innovation achievements at the provincial and ministerial levels or higher, providing solid support for cultivating new quality productive forces.
