In October, natural disasters in China were mainly typhoon disasters and flood disasters, with varying degrees of earthquakes, wind and hail disasters, geological disasters, low temperature freezing, and snow disasters also occurring. Various natural disasters caused a total of 7.3585 million people in the country to be affected to varying degrees, with 9 deaths, 427,900 people in need of emergency relocation and urgent life assistance, nearly 600 households with over 1,400 rooms collapsed, over 6,000 households with 12,000 rooms damaged, 460.9 thousand hectares of crops affected, and direct economic losses of 24.858 billion yuan.
