Tesla's monthly sales in China plummeted by 63.6% compared to the previous month, marking the worst performance in the past three years.
According to the latest data from Understand the Car Emperor, Tesla's sales in October were 26,006 units, a month-on-month decline of 63.64% and a year-on-year decline of 35.76%, with the brand ranking dropping to 27th place. Both Model Y and Model 3 saw significant year-on-year and month-on-month declines in sales. Some analysts believe that Tesla's factory shutdown may have impacted sales, but the year-on-year decline in October exceeded 30%, with sales even lower than the same period in 2023. The competition in the new energy vehicle market is fierce, with brands such as Xiaomi, BYD, and Wanjie showing significant month-on-month sales growth in October, causing Tesla's market share to drop to 2%.
